Further Deregulation - Exhibition of films in community premises
Further proposals to amend Schedule 1 (provision of regulated entertainment) of the Licensing Act 2003 has been set out in the Draft Deregulation Bill which was published on the 1st of July 2013.
Clause 34 of the draft Bill proposes to exempt the exhibition of films in community premises if the following conditions are satisfied;
1. the entertainment takes place between 8am and 11pm on the same day,
2. the entertainment is not provided with a view to profit
3. the audience consists of no more than 500 persons
4. children are excluded where the film classification body or the relevant licensing authority has made a recommendation concerning the admission of children.
